Hi,
Thanks for reading my blog. I have a 3 month old BRB(Brazilian Rainbow Boa). He is the absolute best pet that I have ever had.  He is the first snake that I have ever owned.  I know that it is not advised to keep these snakes as beginner pet snakes, but I think that they are worth it.  Now I am not saying that you should buy these snakes on an impulse.  Do your homework.  I did.  These snakes require a pretty demanding environment.  Their humidity level should be 60-80% and their temperature 85 during the day and can fall to 72-75 at night.  Their temperament is usually nice but it depends on the individual.  They are snippy when young so be cautionary.  You need to hold your snake for 5 minutes a day at the minimum.  The only exception is when they eat.  Snakes have a very sensitive digestive system.  You need to let your snake sit for about 2-3 days before any excessive handling.  You need to change their water dish every week and change their substrate once a month.
